    El análisis de los usos literarios de las variedades lingüísticas extremeñas es un asunto destacado entre los artículos de tema filológico publicados por la Revista de Estudios Extremeños desde su aparición en 1927 hasta hoy. Una lectura atenta de los diferentes cuadernos que la integran justifica el interés con el que los estudiosos del dialecto se han acercado a la lengua de Luis Chamizo, José María Gabriel y Galán, Antonio Reyes Huertas y otros autores que han usado el extremeño como vehículo de expresión en algunas de sus composiciones. Este interés se refleja en un puñado de artículos que toman como objeto de investigación la lengua y el estilo de los escritores regionalistas extremeños y en otros que, sin centrarse exclusivamente en ellos, tienen en cuenta sus aportaciones a la hora de sistematizar, los rasgos peculiares del habla de la región inmortalizados en la literatura.

    The analysis of literary uses of the Extremaduran linguistic varieties is a prominent subject amongst the philological articles being published in the Revista de Estudios Extremeños from its creation in 1927 up to date. A careful look at the different sections that it contains justifies the interest with which dialect scholars have approached the language of Luis Chamizo, José María Gabriel y Galan, Antonio Reyes Huertas and other authors that have used the Extremaduran speech as a vehicle of expression in some of their work. This interest is reflected in a handful of articles that investigate the use of language and style by the Extremaduran regionalist writers as well as other texts that consider their contribution to the task of systematising the peculiar aspects of the Extremaduran speech that have become immortalised in literature
