Resumen de Aplicación del VISUAL PROMETHEE: planteamiento y resolución de un problema real de Decisión Multicriterio.

  La aparición de nuevas herramientas informáticas en el campo de la Ayuda a la Decisión Multicriterio ha representado un avance sustancial en el manejo y aplicación de distintas metodologías. Aunque, la mayoría de los métodos recogidos en la literatura para resolver problemas multicriterio tienen un software que los respalde y permite al decisor ser parte activa en el proceso de decisión, la vorágine informática en la que estamos inmersos hizo necesaria la actualización de esas herramientas que fueron quedando obsoletas. En este trabajo nos referiremos a la nueva herramienta informática desarrollada para hacer operativos los Métodos PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking Organization Methods for Enrichment Evaluations) y GAIA (Geometrical Analysis for Interactive Aid). Este nuevo software denominado Visual PROMETHEE comenzó a ser desarrollado hacia el año 2010 con el propósito de remplazar al DecisionLab 2000 y en el año 2012 fue presentado y aplicado con gran éxito. Para analizar la potencialidad de esta nueva herramienta lo aplicaremos a un caso real que fue merecedor de un premio y que pretende optimizar la participación española en las operaciones de paz y que se analizó y estudió exhaustivamente haciendo uso del respaldo informático disponible en ese momento, PROMCALC.

  The emergence of new software tools in Multicriteria Decision Aid has represented a substantial advance in the handling and applications of different methodologies. Although, most of methods included listed found in literature to solve multicriteria problems have software that supports them and allow the decision maker to be an active part in the decision-making process, the computer maelstrom in which we are immersed made it necessary to update these tools that were becoming obsolete. In this paper we refer to the new computer tool developed to make operating the PROMETHEE Methods and the GAIA. This new software called Visual PROMETHEE, began to be developed towards the year 2010 with the purpose of replacing Decision Lab 2000 and in 2012 was presented and applied with great success. To analyse the potential of this new tool we are going to apply it to a real rewarded case that aims to optimize the Spanish participation in peacekeeping operations. This work was widely analysed and studied by using the available computer support at that time, the PROMCALC.
