Resumen de Macroestructura comparada (Estados Unidos, Gran Bretaña y España) de los documentos notariales de representación civil y penal en formato digital

A consecuencia del nacimiento de la UE y de la inmigración de países angloparlantes, España es testigo de numerosos encargos de traducción jurídica inglés<>español, aunque no siempre cumplan los requisitos de calidad establecidos, debido en parte al desconocimiento de los esqueletos macroestructurales de los documentos traducidos y a la ausencia de manejo de textos paralelos.
Este artículo presenta los resultados de un estudio llevado a cabo para analizar la macroestructura de documentos notariales de representación civil y penal. El corpus de nuestra investigación está formado por 100 poderes notariales generales en formato digital (20 españoles, 20 norteamericanos, 20 de Inglaterra y Gales, 20 escoceses y 20 válidos en Irlanda del Norte). Nuestro objetivo es la identificación de los rasgos propios de este género textual de cara a contribuir a la traducción bidireccional: con direccionalidad directa (inglés-español) y también inversa (español-inglés).

As a result of the founding of the EU, and of increased immigration from English-speaking countries, the country of Spain is witness of many English<>Spanish legal translation briefs. Regrettably, these do not always achieve the necessary level of excellence, which is partially due to the ignorance of the macrostructure of the documents and also to the lack of consultation of parallel texts. This paper reports on the findings of one study whose purpose was to analyse the macrostructure of notarial agency instruments within the civil and criminal scopes. Our research corpus consists of 100 general powers of attorney in digital format: 20 Spanish, 20 North-American, 20 for England and Wales, 20 Scottish, 20 valid for Northern Ireland. Our goal was focused on the identification of the features that characterize the aforementioned text genre so as to carry out its bi-directional translation: direct (English-Spanish) and also reverse (Spanish-English).
