La aparición de documentos inéditos en el transcurso de una larga investigación arrojan nueva luz sobre la historia de los primeros repartos de tierra en Gran Canaria tras la conquista. En este trabajo sistematizamos los distintos tipos de repartos, el momento en que se hicieron y las causas que los motivaron.

Several formerly unpublished documents were recently uncovered in a long research project that offer new data with respect to the history of the first distribution of land and plots after the Conquest of Gran Canaria. In this paper, we offer a systematic analysis of the types of distribution, when they were made effective and the reasons behind their being made.
