    Las reacciones humanas de índole física, biológica, emocional, psicológica, etc., como producto de una situación que afecta el bienestar del ser humano, demandan cuidados centrados en la persona, es decir, soluciones acordes a la situación, expectativas y esperanza que tenga en ese momento el sujeto. Para la enfermera, el cuidado humanizado es aquel que se enfoca no solamente desde la enfermedad, sino en la persona en su totalidad. El cuidado humanizado exige hoy en día a quienes lo ejercen, tener una amplia experiencia, habilidad y capacidad en el conocimiento integral y holístico de la persona en su cotidianidad, ya que todos los aspectos que rodean su vida y su contexto intervienen de forma positiva o negativa en su bienestar. Teniendo en cuenta lo dicho, se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica que permitió analizar los planteamientos de la estructura del cuidado de Kristen Swanson, objetivo del presente trabajo, y demostrar que la enfermera brinda un cuidado humano a través de la aplicación de sus procesos, pues en ellos existen particularidades muy similares a las expresadas y percibidas por los pacientes. En el proceso de cuidar se requiere �conocer� al �otro� desde lo humano, para que el cuidado propuesto tenga significado para la persona, lo que implica que la enfermera ha de tener capacidad para estar emocionalmente presente, hacer todo lo que la persona haría por sí misma si le fuera posible, pero sin afectar a su dignidad o sus creencias, posibilitando nuevamente su independencia

    Human reactions of a physical, biological, emotional, and psychological nature, among others, which are the result of a situation which affects the wellbeing of the human being, demand a type of care focused on the person, that is to say, solutions according to the situation, expectations and hopes which the person has at that given time. For the nurse, human caring is not only focused from the disease, but on the person as a whole. Human caring currently demands that those who conduct it must have wide experience, ability and skills regarding the comprehensive and holistic knowledge of the person�s daily life, because all aspects surrounding their lives and setting are involved either positively or negatively in their wellbeing. Taking into account all this, a bibliographic search was conducted, which allowed to analyze the approach by Kristen Swanson�s structure of care through the application of its procedures, because there are distinctive features in them which are very similar to those perceived and expressed by patients. The caring process requires �knowing� the �other� from a human perspective, so that the proposed care has a meaning for the person; this means that the nurse must have the ability to be emotionally present, to do everything the person would do on their own if they were able, but without affecting their dignity or beliefs, allowing them to recover their independence again
