  • This is the eight report published by the Grup Català d'Anellament (GCA), covering the period 1997-1999. A grand total of 142, 233 birds of 218 taxa were ringed during the three years, including ten species new for the GCA. The number of birds ringed by the members of the group during the last years is maintained with a steady increase due to the incorporation of new ringers, and to the starting of new projects. This report reviews all these activities, and also provides a selected list of controls and of the most intersing recoveries.
