  • Resumen
    • Are transport problems in poorer areas determined only by public transport services? The hypothesis here is that since the 1970s, important investments in the rail network have helped reduce the gaps in services between rich and poor areas at comparable distances from inner Paris. The analysis presented here concludes that differences in access to employment remain significant between different social categories because the jobs and homes of poorer populations, especially blue-collar workers, tend to be located in areas less well served in terms of train services.
