El artículo tiene el objetivo de valorar la importancia del caserío y de lo agrario en la identidad donostiarra. Se trata de un recorrido por el siglo XIX y principios del XX., a través del cual vemos las importancia de los caseríos en la guerra y en la paz. Igualmente, y mediante los retratos de un agricultor pionero (Juan Olasagasti), de tres estudiantes de ingeniería (José Manuel Lizasoain, Miguel Doaso y Martín Alberdi) y de un benefactor (Matías Arteaga), se quiere subrayar esa misma tendencia.

Artikulu honen helburua donostiar identitatean baserriak eta nekazaritza munduak izan duten garantiza aldarrikatzea da. XIX. eta XX. mendearen hasieran zehar baserrien presentzia ikusten da gerran eta bakean. Halaber, nekazari aintzindari baten (Juan Olasagasti), hiru ingeniari ikasleren (José Manuel Lizasoain, Migel Doaso eta Martín Alberdi) eta ongile baten (Matías Arteaga) erretratuen bitartez joera hori azpimarratu nahi izan da.

The aim of this article is to analyse the relevance of the "caserío" and the agriculture in the identity of the "donostiarras". Set in the 10th century and the beginning of the 20th century, the article shows the importance of the "caserío" both in the war and the peace times. In addition, the latest mentioned tendency is highlighted through the portraits of a vanguardist farmer (Juan Olasagsti), three engineering students (Jose Manuel Lizasoain, Miguel Doaso and Martín Alberdi) and a benefactor (Matías Arteaga)
