Resumen de Creación de la Escuela Normal de Maestros de Badajoz: instituciones promotoras e influjo de la política liberal

Las Escuelas Normales germinan en España al calor protector de la política liberal de la primera mitad del siglo XIX. Tras la Constitución de 1812 las ideas progresistas de Cádiz van empapando todo el entramado sociopolítico español, también la educación está influida por este pensamiento constatándose en leyes, disposiciones y normativa que tienen como misión configurar nuestro sistema educativo. Con el nuevo marco político-educativo se organizarán espacios formativos, entre ellos las Escuelas Normales, donde se emprende el cambio hacia el nuevo ciudadano que precisa la sociedad democrática.
En este trabajo profundizaremos en la fase de creación de la Escuela Normal de Maestros en Badajoz (1844) analizando las coordenadas sociopolíticas que origina su instauración y expondremos además, entre otros aspectos, las dificultades en su apertura, su primer plantel de profesores, la organización interna del centro, su primer plan de estudios, los recursos didácticos, etc. sin descuidar las gestiones efectuadas por la Diputación de Badajoz o la Real Sociedad Económica de Amigos del País de Extremadura en la promoción de este centro garantizando su infraestructura material y su base económica.

Normal Schools in Spain germinate heat protector of liberal politics in the first half of the nineteenth century. After the 1812 Constitution of Cádiz progressive ideas are soaking all Spanish sociopolitical framework, education is also influenced by this thought being stated in laws, regulations and rules whose mission set our education system. With the new political-educational teaching spaces will be organized, including normal schools, where they start their shift to the new citizen that needs a democratic society.
This paper will delve into the creation phase of the Normal School in Badajoz (1844) analyzing the socio-political coordinates which causes its inception and will post further, among other things, difficulties in opening its first team of teachers, the organization inside the center, its first curriculum, teaching resources, etc. without neglecting the efforts of the Provincial Council of Badajoz or the Real Sociedad Económica de Amigos del País de Extremadura in the promotion of this center to ensure their physical infrastructure and economic base.
