Resumen de Controllo sociale vs. emancipazione: la proposta della cittadinanza

Javier de Lucas Martín, María José Añón Roig

  • This paper proposes to come back to the notion of citizenship as a keystone of a (re)democratization process facing the shortages of democracy itself. This article approaches to those processes affecting the quality of the democratic model. Among these factors, we may find the political fragmentation of the subject, the impoverishment of the socio-economic processes, the adjustment difficulties of identity politics, and the emphasis on security policies. All these are processes become evident and symbolized by the migration policies. Then it discusses a proposal tackling the sense, the function and the context of citizenship as a category, and as a heuristic engine within the struggle for the recognition and the emancipation.
