A instancias de la coordinadora de este monográfico, Angie Simonis, debido a mis escritos previos sobre la Diosa, mi trabajo aquí ha consistido en la descripción documentada de mi propio itinerario intelectual en relación al tema que nos ocupa. No se trata, pues, de una aventura meramente libresca, sino vital, de ahí mi relato en primera persona sobre el descubrimiento de algo tan esencial para el feminismo como la espiritualidad femenina en un contexto de paganidad, tan diferente a las religiones monoteístas que vinieron después. En un período ágrafo de la humanidad, resulta inexcusable remitirse a la interpretación de los restos arqueológicos, tan nítidos y evidentes para unos pocos, y tan oscuros para muchos. Si la palabra dice, el silencio clama.

Due to my previous writings on the subject of the Goddess the editor of this monograph, Angie Simonis, suggested that my work here consist of a documented description of my intellectual journey in relation to this theme. We are not dealing, therefore, with a mere literary exploration, but with something vital, hence I write in the first person of the discovery of feminine spirituality in a pagan context which is essential for Feminism and which is so different from the later monotheistic religions. In a period when writing did not exist, we have no choice but to refer to the interpretation of archaeological remains, so sharp and evident for a few and so obscure for the many. If the word speaks, silence screams.
