Resumen de Gestión de la agenda temática municipal y cambio de color político

En los contextos democraticos, una de las principales obligaciones de cualquier gobierno municipal es informar a los ciudadanos de aquellas decisiones o acuerdos alcanzados en la gestion politico�]administrativa que les influyen o pueden afectarles.
Las relaciones con los medios de comunicacion social se erigen en una premisa fundamental para propiciar un estado de opinion favorable a los objetivos y estrategias de las organizaciones publicas. En esta comunicacion se presentan los resultados de una investigacion exploratoria que tiene como objetivo general comparar la agenda tematica en prensa escrita durante la ultima legislatura (2007�]2011) en los municipios de Elche (gobernado en coalicion por el PSOE y Compromis per Elx) y Alicante (con gobierno en mayoria absoluta del PP), para demostrar si existen coincidencias significativas en la gestion municipal desarrollada en cada uno de ellos, o si, por el contrario, el color politico influye no solo en la prominencia de unos temas frente a otros, sino tambien en su valoracion y tratamiento informativo.

In democratic contexts, one of the main obligations of any municipality government is to inform citizens of their decisions or agreements reached at the political and administrative management which affect or may affect them. Relations with the media are erected on a fundamental premise to foster a state of opinion favorable to the objectives and strategies of public organizations. In this paper we present the results of an exploratory study that aims to compare the overall thematic agenda in newspapers during the last legislature (2007�]2011) in the towns of Elche (coalition governed by the PSOE and Compromis per Elx) and Alicante (with majority government in the PP), to establish whether there are significant overlaps in municipal management developed in each of them, or, on the contrary, the political color influences not only the prominence of some issues against other but also in their assessment and treatment information.
