Resumen de Sport as a platform for values education

  El deporte como un hecho cultural, que se refleja en que las características de la sociedad en la que está inmerso, pero al mismo tiempo constituye una herramienta con la que actúan sobre el sistema, un vehículo de cambio social capaz de generar actitudes y comportamientos. ¿En qué medida contribuye el deporte puede o contribuye a lograr una educación en valores? Esta será la pregunta a la que trataremos de responder en este trabajo, que se dividió en dos partes: En primer lugar se definen los significados y características que el deporte ha tenido y tiene en realidad. En segundo lugar abordamos los valores asociados a ella y el potencial educativo que tiene. Finalmente, para reflexionar sobre el estado de la cuestión en estos momentos y en el futuro.

  Sport as a cultural fact, reflected in it the characteristics of the society in which it is immersed, but at the same time constitutes a tool with which to act on the system, a vehicle of social change capable of generating attitudes and behaviors. To what extent contributes or can sport contributes to achieve an education in values? This will be the question to which we will try to answer in the present study, which we divided in two parts: First of all we define the meanings and characteristics that the sport has had and actually have. Secondly we broach the values associated with it and the educational potential it has. Finally for reflect on the state of the question right now and the future.
