Identidades híbridas: sentimiento identitario e imaginario colectivo en la diáspora extremeña

    En el año 2008, el Grupo de Investigación en Estudios Sociales y Territoriales, de la Universidad de Extremadura realizó un estudio sobre el fenómeno migratorio en Extremadura, diseñado para satisfacer tres objetivos fundamentales: primero, caracterizar el propio proceso migratorio en la región, el segundo, conocer cuáles son, por parte de los emigrantes, los imaginarios sobre su tierra de origen, los vínculos que mantienen con ella, o cómo describen su sentimiento identitario; y el tercero, planteaba una aproximación al fenómeno del retorno. Los resultados que presentamos aquí, hacen referencia únicamente al segundo de nuestros objetivos, que además de mostrar el vínculo de los emigrantes con su tierra de origen, reflejan algunas diferencias en la imagen de Extremadura o el sentimiento de identidad que describen los emigrantes.

    In 2008, the Research Team in Social and Territorial Studies, from the University of Extremadura, carries out a study about the migratory phenomenon in Extremadura. This study was designed to satisfy three main targets: first, to characterize the own migratory process in the region, the second, to know which are, on the part of the emigrants, the images about their land of origin, the bonds that maintain with it, or how they describe their identity feeling; and the third part, raised an approach to the phenomenon of the return. The results that we displayed here make reference only to the second of our objectives, which besides showing the bond of the emigrants with their land of origin, reflect some differences in the image of Extremadura or the feeling of identity that describes the emigrants
