  El melanoma genital es un tumor raro que debe tenerse siempre en cuenta ante la aparición de una lesión pigmentada en la vulva en una paciente de edad avanzada o incluso sin lesión aparente, ante un prurito persistente y rebelde a los tratamientos habituales. El diagnóstico suele ser tardío (la biopsia orienta al mismo).El abordaje debe ser multidisciplinario (ginecología-oncología-cirugía plástica).

  Genital melanoma is a rare tumor that should always be considered in an old patient with a pigmented lesion on the vulva or even in a patient without apparent injury with a persistent itching and rebellious to standard treatments. The diagnosis is usually delayed (biopsy directed to it). The approach should be multidisciplinary (gynecology-oncology, plastic surgery).
