Déposition of blade shale fades on marine shelves and ramps has been habitually attributed to several causes related to oxygen-depleted bottom waters: sea level fluctuations, very slow water circulation, high organic productivity in the surface water; etc. This paper concerns to black shale deposits quickly accumulated on a w e ll oxygenated bottom, devoid o f bioturbation, and related to mud-rich storm events
