El presente trabajo da cuenta de los tres testamentos otorgados durante su vida por el compositor, diferenciándolos de la copia o testimonio parcial del último de ellos, preparado por el notario Zabala después de muerto el músico, testimonio que ha sido considerado como el verdadero testamento de Boccherini por la mayoría de sus biógrafos. Recoge el tratamiento que éstos han dado al tema testamentario. Y analiza las disposiciones contenidas en los testamentos relacionándolas con las circunstancias de su vida

This essay describes the three testaments produced by Bocherini during his life which differ from the copy, or partial testimony of the last of them, usually considered as the true testament of Bocherini by most biographers. The author makes a review of the way this issue has been approached so far, and established links between the different points of the document and precise circumstances of the life of the composer.
