Resumen de Mecanismos motivadores en la enseñanza de la Historia: un modelo de aplicación con alumnos de ESO

El presente trabajo de investigación pretende mejorar el conocimiento de las motivaciones de los estudiantes de enseñanza secundaria en relación con el aprendizaje de la Historia. Con ello se aspira a profundizar, ampliar y matizar algunos de los paradigmas motivadores pre-existentes, así como mejorar la comprensión de esta realidad educativa junto con la del proceso de aprendizaje en sí, al vincular expresamente el fenómeno de la desmotivación con el esfuerzo que representa la misma actividad académica.
La experimentación de un amplio conjunto de materiales didácticos específicamente diseñados para esta investigación, ha proporcionado unos resultados que, si bien no resuelven satisfactoriamente todas las situaciones identificadas, al menos aportan unas orientaciones reveladoras acerca de las necesidades, las limitaciones y las posibilidades reales que existen de cara a estimular la implicación de los alumnos hacia el aprendizaje de la Historia, contribuyendo así a reducir los umbrales en los que se sitúa el fracaso escolar

The aim of this research is to improve our knowledge about the students´ motivation on learning the subject of History in the Secondary Compulsory Education. Moreover, this work also intends to deepen, expand and qualify some of the pre-existing models of motivation which are being used nowadays, with the hope of helping teachers to understand the present educative situation and with the aspiration of improving the student´s learning process by means of linking the phenomenon of demotivation to the effort that the learning activities take.
A wide range of didactic materials, all of them specifically designed for this research, have been tried out. Although the results do not solve all the identified situations in a satisfactory way, they provide revealing aspects about the necessities, limitations and the real possibilities that teachers face when they encourage students to learn History, contributing to reduce the levels of school failure
