La Resolución 2065/XX de Naciones Unidas constituye el vector fundamental de las relaciones argentino - británicas desde 1965. El enfrentamiento bélico entre ambos países en 1982 y la derrota argentina refuerzan la posición británica de no negociar la soberanía de las islas, promoviendo el derecho de autodeterminación de los isleños y la proyección estratégica hacia el Atlántico Sur y la Antártida. The UN Resolution 2065/XX is the fundamental vector of the Argentine - British relations since 1965.
