  • Resumen
    • The aim of this paper is to study the relationships between linguistics and psychology in the early stages of their existence as independent scientific disciplines. The study covers the last quarter of the nineteenth century and the first years of the twentieth century, more specifically, from 1875 to 1920. The reason why these years have been chosen is that the founder of experimental psychology Wilhelm Wundt arrived in Leipzig in the year 1875 and he remained there until his death in 1920. Wundt´s ideas exerted an enormous influence, not only on the development of psychology, but also on the development of linguistics. Despite his gaps, and perhaps because of them, he stimulated debates and contacts between psychologists and linguists, and his work gave rise to a lot of research and writings. That is why this period has been named "Wundt´s time".
