Este trabajo muestra el enfrentamiento entre dos modelos que, para solucionar la cuestión femenina, ofrecen su particular definición del sujeto. Desde la posición denominada de la Igualdad de género, el sujeto se define por una esencia mínima común al ser humano, abierta al diálogo y referente a unas cualidades humanas conectadas con la dignidad. Se añade la absoluta compatibilidad de esa esencia igual con las diferencias de todos los individuos entre sí. Por su parte, el modelo que, paradójicamente, se ha denominado Ideología de género afirma una esencia humana prefijada por naturaleza y completamente indisponible. Junto a ella, se entiende la existencia de dos tipos de persona o identidad, que son la del hombre y la mujer cuyo sexo biológico fija su modo de ser natural. Para ellos, la diferencia también entra en otro plano que es el de la identidad sexual prefijada. Así, sólo es posible hablar de hombre o mujer y no cabe una opción por el sexo. Expuestas las corrientes, este texto realiza algunas críticas al modelo de la Ideología de género, buscando los mejores argumentos para fundamentar la definición de un sujeto universal a partir de una esencia abierta y sin distinción entre los sexos, concibiendo al sexo como objeto de elección individual.

This paper shows the confrontation between two models that offer their particular definition of the subject in order to solve the woman question. From the position called Gender Equality, the subject is defined by a minimum common essence of human beings, that is opened to dialogue and concern human qualities connected with dignity. Besides, this position defends the complete compatibility of that essence with the differences of all individuals. On the other hand, the model oddly called Gender Ideology supports the existence of a human essence that is predetermined by nature and totally unavailable. Moreover, this model believes in the existence of two types of person or entities: man and woman, whose biological sexes fix their own ways of being naturals. For them, the concept of difference is also considered in the dimension of the fixed sexual identity. Thus, they think that it is only possible to consider the existence of these two types of people: men or women. The option for sex is fully rejected. Afterwards, this paper exposed some criticisms to the model of Gender Ideology, and seeks the best arguments to support the definition of a universal subject defined by an opened common essence and with no distinction between sexes. Sex is conceived as a matter of individual choice.
