Resumen de La salud en la escuela: necesidad de investigaciones más profundas

El sistema educativo tiene una gran responsabilidad ante la salud de su alumnado condicionada no sólo por sus estilos de vida o condicionantes familiares sino también por un conjunto de factores culturales y sociales. Este artículo plantea la necesidad de nuevas investigaciones sobre las conductas no saludables de los adolescdentes y aporta unos primeros datos, tras la prueba piloto, de una investigación que pretende evaluar tanto las necesidades del alumnado y profesionales como las intervenciones educativas desarrolladas en los centros de Secundaria del País Vasco en relación con la promoción de la salud y ofrecer orientaciones para el diseño de iniciativas curriculares

The education system has a great responsability for the health of their students determined not only by their lifestyles or family constraints, but also by a set of cultural and social factors. This article discusses the need for further research on the unhealthy behavior of adolescents, and provides some preliminary data, after the pilot, of an investigation that aims to assess both the needs of studentes and professionals as well as the educational interventions developed in secondary schools in the Basque Country in relation to health promotion and guidance for the design of curriculum initiatives
