    Parece que quienes se dedican al estudio de la lectura y de la escritura entendieran que hay dos procesos diferentes en el arte de comunicarnos:

    el lenguaje oral por un lado y la lectura y la escritura, tomados como un todo, por otro. En realidad todo se reduce a un único proceso de comunicación que consta de tres pasos; primero, hablar, después, leer y, finalmente, escribir. Cada ser humano los utilizará de acuerdo a sus necesidades, no a imposiciones. Cuando se imponen, como se hace en las escuelas, se logra fabricar alumnos no lectores ni escritores.

    It seems that those who dedicate their lives to the study of reading and writing understand that there are two different processes in the art of communication between ourselves: oral language on one side and reading and writing, seen as one, on the other. In reality, everything is reduced to a unique process of communication that involves three stages; first, speech, then, reading and, finally, writing. Each individual will use these according to his or her needs, but not according to what is imposed. When how to communicate is imposed, as in schools, students end up as non-readers and non-writers.
