Resumen de Humanización del cuidado de enfermería.De la formación a la práctica clínica

  Reflexionar sobre el enfoque humanístico del proceso del cuidado puede incidir, en una práctica profesional de enfermería más significativa y enriquecedora. El objetivo del artículo, es revisar el origen filosófico del humanismo, con el propósito de describir la importancia de la humanización del cuidado de enfermería, desde el proceso de formación de los alumnos como futuros gestores de los cuidados.

  �Humanismo� es un término polisémico. El humanismo se refiere a la emancipación y eleva al género humano al nivel estrictamente humano, a saber, educar, formar para la vida ética y política, eso es escolarizar, democratizar1. La humanización del cuidado, requiere un proceso de cuidado centrado en el ser humano, en el entendido de que ese ser humano no sólo incluye la persona sujeto de cuidado, sino la enfermera y el estudiante de enfermería. El cuidar de otro, pierde su sentido si no hay un interés real en la persona o si el contexto donde se otorgan los cuidados es adverso o altamente tecnificado pues el contacto humano se ve limitado.

  La formación de los estudiantes debe privilegiar la comunicación con la persona antes que el desempeño del rol técnico, en la medida que sean capaces de clarificar las necesidades y sentimientos de cada persona sujeto de cuidado, paulatinamente irán adquiriendo pericia en el manejo de la tecnología y de los conocimientos científicos.

  Looking into the health care humanistic focus promotes a more significant and meaningful nursing practice. The objective of this study is to review the philosophical origins of humanism in order to describe the importance of humanizing nursing from the process of training of the students of future managers of care.

  �Humanism� is a term with several meanings. Humanism means emancipation and rises human kind to the strictly human level; it means to know, to teach, to form the ethical life and politics, and to buil school and democracy1. The humanization of care implies to focus on the human being and to understand that the human being is not only the person receiving care, but also the nurse and nursing student. Taking care of another, lacks its sense if there ins´t a real interest on the person, or if the context where health care is offered is adverse or highly technical, and thus human limited According to their feelings and needs, student formation should prioritize the communication with the person more than the regards with the technical performances, in the measurement that is able to gradually clarify the needs and feelings of each person under care, they will acquire skill in the handling of technology and scientific knowledge.
