Resumen de Algunas consideraciones sobre la ciencia y la fe

En este artículo se hacen algunas consideraciones sobre los problemas suscitados entre la ciencia y la fe religiosa. En él se trata de mostrar que éstas son dos ventanas distintas en el conocimiento que el ser humano tiene de las cosas, que difieren en algunos aspectos metodológicos pero que no están en contradicción. Y una prueba de ello es que eminentes científicos contemporáneos son hombres de fe. No se pretende, bajo ningún punto de vista, demostrar científicamente la existencia de Dios, pero se reconoce que hay en el mundo algunas bases sólidas para sostener que más allá de él, existe un Ser Trascendente.

In this article some considerations about the problems that have arisen between science and faith, are discussed. Its main purpose is to acknowledge that they are two different windows through which human beings have the possibility of getting their knowledge of things, that they differ in some methodological aspects, but that they do not contradict each other. One of the best evidences in favor of this view is the fact that distinguished contemporary scientists are men of faith. The scientific demonstration of the existence of God is by no means the purpose of this article, but the existence of some solid evidences that a Transcending Being exists beyond this world, is admitted.
