    Las segundas nupcias siempre han preocupado a los diversos legisladores y, dependiendo del momento temporal que consideremos, las soluciones legislativas fueron variando según las necesidades de cada momento. Sin embargo, los intereses patrimoniales de los hijos del primer matrimonio, ante las segundas nupcias de uno de sus progenitores, fueron tenidos en cuenta únicamente a partir de los emperadores romanos cristianos. Una de estas preocupaciones tiene que ver con la figura de la reserva vidual �institución tradicional en nuestro Derecho civil, que hunde sus raíces precisamente en Roma� creada con la pretensión de no desviar los bienes provenientes... En este trabajo estudiaremos la evolución que ha sufrido esta figura a lo largo del tiempo, tanto en el Derecho romano como finalmente en nuestro Derecho histórico, hasta llegar a nuestro actual Código Civil.

    The remarriage of the widow has always concerned the different legislators and depending on the time that we consider, the legislative solutions have changed to accommodate to the necessities of the moment. Nevertheless, the economic interests of the first marriage�s children have only been treated since the rule of the Christian roman emperors. One of the issues was in regard with the institution of the �reserva vidual�, a traditional figure in our Civil Law, that has its roots precisely in Rome. This figure was created to prevent that one family could receive some goods that came from a different family (the first marriage�s relatives) and had...
