    La requalification des Zip et le cas du Parc Scientifique de Venise. - La Zone Industrielle Portuaire de Venise a souffert dès les années quatre-vingts une profonde crise économique et sociale, en raison du déclin de l'industrie de base. Le Parc Scientifique et Technologique Vega (Venice Gateway) est l'une des initiatives les plus importantes pour un qualification urbaine du pole industriel. Mis sur place à la moitié des années quatre vingt-dix, il est au moment un des moteurs les plus actifs dans la transformation fonctionnelle et spatiale de la partie la plus ancienne de la Zip vénitienne. En synthèse, ses finalités sont: favoriser l'innovation technologique des industries de Porto Marghera et des systèmes de Pme du Nord Est italien; contribuer à la mise à jour du rôle régionale de Porto Marghera; induire le développement des activités tertiaires avancées. Les implications économiques et géographiques de la première phase du développement de Vega, achevée en 2005, sont nettement positives et sa présence va améliorer l'image de l'entière Zip chez les investisseurs.

    The requalification of port-industrial areas and the case of the Science Park of Porto Marghera. - Porto Marghera, the Venetian port and industrial complex, has suffered from economic and social decline since the early 1980s, owing to the structural crisis which affected the basic industries in the most developed countries. The Scientific and Technological Park of Venice (Venice Gateways, Vega) represents one of the most significant initiatives for the urban requalification of Porto Marghera. Established in mid-1990s, Vega is nowadays one of the most important dynamic levers for the spatial and functional transformation of the First Industrial Zone. Vega aims at: promoting scientific and technological research for the benefit of Porto Marghera's industry and of the small and medium firms of North-East Italy; defining a new dynamic role of Porto Marghera in the changing regional context; and developing a new high-quality tertiary sector in the Venice area. The economic/territorial implications of the first phase of development, concluded in 2005, are positive. Moreover Vega is strongly contributing to improve the image of Porto Marghera towards external investors
