Resumen de La estética musical española del barroco

    El autor pone de manifiesto el valor del tratado de música en la pedagogía de este arte y la antigüedad de su uso en la cultura musical europea. Observa asimismo la evolución paralela de la historia de la creación y de la teoría, lo que confiere también al tratado función de fuente histórica para el estudio de los estilos y de las obras; recuerda además el hecho importante de que con frecuencia, son autores de tratados los mismos compositores. En este artículo muestra el interés de la contribución de los teóricos españoles a la enseñanzade la estética de la música barroca, con el análisis de la aportación de Lorente, Nassarre, Tosca y Ulloa.

    The author shows the value of the treaty of music in the pedagogy of this art and the antiquity of its use in the European musical culture. He also observes the parallel evolution of the history of the creation and the theory, which also confers to the treaty function of historical source for the study of the styles and works. In addition, he also remarks the important fact that frequently the authors of treatises are at the same time composers. In this article he shows the interest of the contribution of the Spanish theoreticians to the education of baroque style, with the analysis of the contribution of Lorente, Nassarre, Tosca and Ulloa.
