  • In this interview, Thomas C. Reeves shares a unique perspective on educational technology, particularly in the area of authentic learning. His work in developing a model for authentic tasks in web-based learning, with Ron Oliver and Jan Herrington for the Australian Research Council, is illustrated with a course designed for Masters students at Edith Cowen University. He encourages the educational community to explore new learning technologies and authentic activities, and to work with instructional designers in applications of alternative pedagogies. He offers an optimistic outlook on the field.
