There is a character in Macbeth’s story that has obtained the interest of the world audience in competition with her husband. She is Lady Macbeth. Symbol of wickedness and ambition, Lady Macbeth has become a stereotype that has gone beyond the frontiers of her own universe of drama and literature. That is deserving an approach to her outline from the contemporary perspective of the Feminist Film Theory and to the several constructions made about her, specially on the three most important directors who have adapted the shakespearean play.
