  Fem referencia a la treballa d'Asparagopsis taxiformis (Delile) Trevisan (Florideophyceae, Rhodophyta) a les costes de les Balears. Encara que ja es coneixia de diverses localitats mediterranies del nord d'África, les nostres recol·leccions són les primeres fetes a les costes europees.

  We report on the presence of Asparagopsis taxiformis (Delile) Trevisan (Florideophyceae, Rhodophyta) in the coasts of the Balearic Islands. Although it was previously collected in several Mediterranean localities from the North of Africa, our record seems to be the first one for European waters.
