Entrepreneurial activity is now considered to be one of the most important elements to promote competitiveness and development in economies throughout the world. Over the past few decades, there has been an emerging focus on entrepreneurship education as the primary tool to encourage this activity. However, there are marked differences between the American and European perspectives. This paper analyses these two distinct views and their consequences.
