    La reorganización político-administrativa del territorio fue una de las principales preocupaciones de las Cortes del Trienio Liberal (1820-1823). El conjunto del liberalismo español compartía la necesidad de reorganizar, racionalizar y homogeneizar las divisiones político-administrativas que habían caracterizado el Antiguo Régimen y avanzar hacia una estructura territorial única que englobara, también, a la eclesiástica, la judicial y la fiscal. En este texto analizamos la división provincial y la formación de las diputaciones provinciales en Cataluña con el objetivo de conocer cómo se produjo este proceso, como se recibió en el territorio, en qué medida cumplieron sus funciones y quienes fueron sus diputados provinciales y jefes políticos. Comparando el despliegue de las diputaciones en Cataluña con el que se realiza en otros territorios de la monarquía española

    The political-administrative reorganization of the territory was one of the main concerns of the Cortes of the Liberal Triennium (1820-1823). The whole of Spanish liberalism shared the need to reorganize, rationalize and homogenize the political-administrative divisions that had characterized the Old Regime and move towards a single territorial structure that also encompassed the ecclesiastical, judicial and fiscal. In this text we analyse the provincial division and the formation of the provincial councils in Catalonia with the aim of knowing how this process occurred, how it was received in the territory, to what extent they fulfilled their functions and who were their provincial deputies and political leaders. Comparing the deployment of the deputations in Catalonia with that carried out in other territories of the Spanish monarchy.

    Hirurteko Liberalean (1820-1823), lurraldearen berrantolaketa politiko eta administratiboa izan zen Gorteen kezka nagusietako bat. Espainiako liberalismo osoak uste zuen Antzinako Erregimeneko banaketa politiko-administratiboak berrantolatu, arrazionalizatu eta homogeneizatu beharra zegoela eta aurrerapausoak egin behar zirela egitura eklesiastikoa, judiziala eta fiskala ere barne hartuko zituen lurralde-egitura bakar baterantz. Testu honetan Kataluniako probintzien banaketa eta diputazio probintzialen eraketa aztertuko ditugu, hobeto ezagutzeko nola gertatu zen prozesu hori, nola jaso zuten lurraldean, zer neurritan bete zituzten erakundeok zegozkien funtzioak eta nor izan ziren diputatu probintzialak eta buruzagi politikoak. Horretarako, Kataluniako diputazioen hedapena Espainiako monarkiako beste lurralde batzuetakoarekin alderatuko dugu.
