Intentamos aportar los datos escasos que existen acerca de la piedra delRame. Ello nos lleva a realizar una panorámica sobre las dos posibles teorías acerca desu origen: megalítico o como parte de un amojonamiento realizado presumiblementeen el siglo XVI entre los concejos de Murcia y Cartagena con motivo de las disputassobre las pesquerías del Mar Menor. También se incluye una reflexión sobre como unelemento patrimonial se puede convertir en catalizador de las fuerzas reivindicativasde una comunidad de vecinos, la de Bahía Bella. Y entendemos que esta publicaciónproporciona de forma definitiva carta de naturaleza patrimonial a este bien.

We try to provide the scarce data that exist about the Rame stone. Thisleads us to make an overview of the two possible theories about its origin: megalithicor as part of a boundary presumably carried out in the sixteenth centurybetween the councils of Murcia and Cartagena due to disputes over the fisheries ofthe Mar Menor. It also includes a reflection on how a heritage element can becomea catalyst for the protest forces of a community of neighbors, that of Bahía Bella.And we understand that this publication definitively provides a charter of patrimonialnature to this asset.
