    El objetivo de este artículo es dar cuenta de la relación entre la forma de gobernar del presidente López Obrador y el contexto en el que ocurren múltiples violaciones a los derechos humanos en México. En el primer apartado, analizamos las características principales de dicho gobierno en el que los límites del poder ejecutivo son cada vez más difusos, las oportunidades para la contestación son limitadas y la garantía de los derechos humanos no es prioritaria. En ello identificamos un proceso de autocratizacion. En el segundo apartado, damos cuenta del impacto negativo de este proceso en la labor de las organizaciones de la sociedad civil y el periodismo independiente, actores relevantes en un régimen democrático.

    The aim of this chapter is to account for the relationship between the policies implemented by President López Obrador's and the context in which multiple human rights violations occur in Mexico. In the first section, we analyse the main characteristics of his administration that can be characterized by increasingly blurred boundaries of executive power, limited opportunities for contestation, and a lack of priority given to the guarantee of human rights. By doing this, we identify an ongoing process of autocratisation. In the second part, we account for the negative impact of this process on the work of civil society organisations and independent journalists, relevant actors in a democratic regime.
