The paper demonstrates the application of spatial features to Linked Open Data for use in geospatial contexts, enhancing identification, aggregation and implicit linking of geospatial objects. By integrating the geospatial realm with ID-based systems (authority files), new research and analysis approaches are made possible, offering significant benefits for use in art history and cultural heritage as well as related fields. Various methodologies and their implications are discussed, and a web application is presented.
