The contribution illustrates the interdisciplinary study of an oratory located in the area of the Hospital of S. Giovanni in Laterano (Rome), preparatory to a desirable project to enhance the early Christian monument and the buildings of the imperial age that have it welcomed. In particular, the work focuses on the restorations carried out in 2013-2017, restorations that have enriched the panorama of painting Late Antiquity and Early Christian both for the discovery of a new painting mural, which is added to those unearthed in the twentieth century, both for the analysis of the technical aspects, supported by diagnostic investigations. The on-site interventions were followed by the virtual restoration of the paintings and 3D survey, both useful tools for the exegesis of structures and their decorative apparatus, as well as for a future enhancement and use of the complex.
