Pisu molekular altuko azido hialuronikoak (PMA-AH) anti-hantura ezaugarriak dituen osagaia da zelulaz kanpoko matrizean (ZKM); pisu molekular baxukoak (PMB-AH), ostera, hantura bultzatzen du. CEMIP (ingelesezko cell migration inducing protein) hialuronidasaren adierazpen altua hantura kronikoa bereizgarri duten gaixotasunetan deskribatu izan da (osteoartritisa edo minbizia, kasu). Larruazaleko melanoma AHan aberatsa den ehun batean sortzen da eta tumore primarioaren hedapena erronka kliniko esanguratsuena da oraindik. CEMIP adierazten duten melanoma zelulek mikroinguruneko hantura iraunarazten dute PMB-AH populazioari eutsiz eta, aldi berean, hantura zitokinen adierazpena induzituz larruazaleko fibroblastoetan.
High molecular weight hyaluronic acid(HMW-HA)is a key anti-fibrotic and anti-inflammatory component of the extracellular matrix, whilelow molecular weight HA (LMW-HA) has pro-inflammatory properties. Increased CEMIPexpression(Cell migration inducing protein), a novel hyaluronidase,has been linked to diseases characterized by chronic inflammation (i.e. osteoarthritis and cancer). Cutaneous melanoma occurs in the skin thatis richin HAand dissemination of the primary tumor remains the principal clinical challenge. CEMIP expressing melanoma cells foster an inflammatory microenvironment by procuring low MW HA species and inducing the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines in dermal fibroblasts
