    El coneixement sobre biodiversitat a les Illes Balears es troba dispers i, pel que fa a molts de grups,desactualitzat o mai s’ha arribat a estudiar en profunditat. Aquest projecte té dos objectius principals. Per una banda,reunir i posar a disposició d’investigadors, gestors i el públic en general informació actualitzada sobre totes les espèciescitades a les Illes Balears. Per altra banda, detectar quins grups taxonòmics o ambients són els menys coneguts i que,per tant, requereixen d’un major finançament i esforç. Per aconseguir-ho és necessari comptar amb la col·laboració delsexperts en els distints grups taxonòmics. L’objectiu és saber, segons el seu punt de vista, com de ben conegut es trobenactualment els grups taxonòmics dels quals en té coneixement així com si han estat més ben estudiats a unes illesrespecte les altres o a determinats ambients.

    Knowledge on biodiversity in the Balearic Islands is scattered and, for many groups, outdated or has neverbeen studied in depth. This project has two main objectives. On the one hand, to gather and make available toresearchers, administrators and the general public updated information on all the species cited in the Balearic Islands.On the other hand, to detect which taxonomic groups or environments are the least known and which, therefore, requiremore funding and effort. This requires the collaboration of experts in the different taxonomic groups. The aim is to findout, according to their point of view, how well known the taxonomic groups of which they are aware are at present, aswell as whether they have been better studied on some islands than others or in certain environments.
