  Algunos textos médicos del s. xvii en neolatín mantuvieron formas de la alegoría surgida en la Antigüedad. Nuestro primer objetivo es determinar si la tradición retórico-poética contemporánea en la enseñanza favoreció el mantenimiento de algunas expresiones relativas a aspectos de la vida humana. En segundo lugar, observamos la duración del uso de este tropo en el neolatín científico, especialmente en tratados de embriología

  Some seventeenth-century Neo-Latin works about medicine collected some forms of allegory which were brought up from Antiquity. Our first purpose is the research on the question whether the contemporary academic rhetoric and poetic doctrine about allegory brought on the endurance of some expressions dealing with human life. Secondly, we point out the unending effects of that trope in the contemporary scientific Neo-Latin inher-itance, mainly in embryology treatises
