La piedra en seco es una constante en Vilafranca. La necesidad de aumentarla superficie y la calidad del terreno cultivable hizo que se extrajeran grandescantidades de piedra. Con ella, el ingenio y sus manos, los pobladores deestas tierras crearon una arquitectura sencilla y popular. El turismo cultural esuna alternativa para preservar y poner en valor las construcciones de la piedraen seco. En Vilafranca existe un museo y tres itinerarios de la piedra en secopara dar a conocer este patrimonio cultural.

Dry stone is a constant feature in Vilafranca. The need to increase the surface area and quality of the arable land led to the extraction of large quantities ofstone. With this need, ingenuity and their hands, the inhabitants of these lands created a simple and popular architecture. Cultural tourism is an alternative way to preserve and enhance the constructions of dry stone. In Vilafranca there is a Museum and three designated routes of Dry Stone to disseminate this Cultural Heritage.
