  [ct] Les aigües marítimes foren, durant l’edat mitjana i moderna, objecte d’apropiació per part de diferents senyors. Si bé en època romana la mar no era de ningú, ja en època carolíngia el trobem sota la potestat del comte, que en donarà parts als senyors. En aquest article s’estudia la parcel·lació del litoral, el seu paper en la feudalització i l’aparició del delme del peix com a principal forma de renda halièutica a Catalunya.

  Maritime waters were, throughout the middle and early modern ages, object of seigneurial appropriation. Whereas in Roman times the sea was of no one, in Carolingian times it is found under the counts’ power, who will give it to the lords. In this article, the littoral parcelling, its paper in feudalisation and the apparition of fish tithe as main form of halieutic rent in Catalonia are studied.
