System maintenance and improvement are a challenge in both industry and science. The development of current technology enables systems to be designed to consider these two aspects, namely, a more modular, autonomous and separate system structure. ITER Laboratory, which has published numerous works on its philosophy, is one of the references for the modern control paradigms. Those works have served as a reference to an update of the infrared emissometry laboratory of the University of the Basque Country. After analysing the condition and operation of the HAIRL emissometer, which is the core of this laboratory, the hardware and software of the device has been renovated. A modular instrument that ensures data availability and can be securely used from a distance has been acquired through upgrading.
Sistemen mantenua eta hobekuntza erronka da bai industria, baita zientzia arloetan ere. Gaur egungo teknologiaren garapenak ahalbidetzen du sistemak diseinatzea kontuan izateko bi faktore horiek, hots, sistema modularrago, independenteago eta bananduago egituratzen. ITER laborategia da egungo kontrol-paradigmen erreferenteetako bat, zeinak haren filosofiari buruzko lan ugari argitaratu dituen. Horiek jarraituz Euskal Herriko Unibertsitateko emisometria infragorriko laborategiaren eguneraketa egin da. Laborategi horren muina den HAIRL emisometroa- ren egoera eta funtzionamendua aztertu ostean, gailuaren hardwarearen eta softwarearen berrikuntza burutu da. Eguneraketaren bidez instrumentu modularra lortu da, datuen eskuragarritasuna bermatzen duena eta urrunetik arriskurik gabe kontrola daitekeena.
