Resumen de Clarificación terminológica: el sexo, el género y sus derivados

Se parte de la actual complejidad terminológica en torno al sexo y al género para llevar a cabo un pormenorizado análisis clarificador, tanto de ambas variables como de sus correspondientes derivados: sexualidad, masculinidad, feminidad, roles y estereotipos. Se presenta después un esbozo de modelo heurístico en el que se pretenden integrar las múltiples interrelaciones de las variables estudiadas. Esto se hace desde una doble perspectiva: filogenética y ontogenética. A su vez, se alude a las implicaciones de este nuevo modelo para la investigación, clínica y educativa, desde enfoques bien retrospectivos o bien prospectivos.

Current terminological complexity regarding sex and gender is taken as the starting point to carry out a detailed clarifying analysis, of both of these variables as well as of their corresponding derivatives: sexuality, masculinity, femininity, roles and stereotypes. Next an outline heurestic model is presented in which it is attempted to integrate the multiple interrelationships of the variables studied. This done from a double prespective: philogenetic and ontogenetic. In turn, mention is made of the implications of this new model for research, both clinical and educational, from either retrospective or prospective viewpoints.
