  El Magreb central, espacio cosmopolita, recibió todo tipo de poblaciones a lo largo de su historia. Diferentes etnias, diferentes religiones, pasaron por allí y se instalaron sin problemas mayores. En nuestro artículo, nos proponemos hablar de un grupo que tuvo mucha importancia en la sociedad centro-magrebí a partir del siglo XIII, los marranos de la España de Isabel y Fernando. Igual que los musulmanes, abrazaron el cristianismo de una manera forzosa o voluntaria, con el mismo objetivo, el de no abandonar su tierra y sus raíces ancestrales. Los puntos expuestos y analizados serán los orígenes de la población hebrea del espacio magrebí y su papel en la sociedad donde vivieron desde su llegada. Por otro lado, asistiremos a la entrada de los hebreos evangelizados de la península ibérica, y su asentamiento dentro de la sociedad musulmana de aquel entonces. El papel que desempeñaron cotidianamente abarcará varios terrenos, los permitidos y los prohibidos. Su trabajo fue excepcional en cuanto a su repercusión en todo el norte de África, pasando por el reino ziyánida acogedor, y a través del autor de su asentamiento en pleno centro de Tlemcen, el rabino Efraím Enkawa

  The history of the central Maghreb saw all type of population passing by, making it a cosmopolitan region. Different ethnicities and religions settled in without any major issues. In our article, we propose to study the Marranes of Isabelle’s and Fernand’s Spain, a group that had an important impact on the society where it settled in, from the XIIIth century. Just like Muslims, they had to convert to Christianity voluntarily or by force in order to avoid abandoning their land and the roots of their ancestors. We will specifically present and analyze the origins of the Hebrew population in the Maghreb region, and its impact on the society where these people settled in since their arrival. On the other hand, we will describe the arrival of the Evangelized Jews of the Iberian Peninsula, and their settlement among the Muslim society of that time. Their daily basis impact covers several allowed and prohibited aspects. The influence of their work on North Africa was exceptional, thanks to the Ziyanide Kingdom that welcomed them, and to the Rabbi Ephraim Enkawa who helped them establish themselves in the center of Tlemcen
