Resumen de Documentación impropia de un archivo universitario

  El artículo presenta la documentación que se encuentra en el archivo universitario de Salamanca pero que no ha sido producida por su universidad, indicando cuál es y el motivo por el que ha llegado allí, concluyendo que en la mayor parte de los casos se trata de documentos o de archivos que si bien tienen otro productor, están íntimamente relacionados con la Universidad, ya que han llegado allí como consecuencia de su actividad o por la acción de alguno de sus miembros. El autor insiste en la necesidad de individualizar esos documentos diferenciándolos del fondo universitario, y de emplear la historia del archivo como herramienta para realizar bien este trabajo, especialmente la parte referida a la producción y acumulación de aquellos documentos no universitarios que lo integran, y sin la cual no será posible llegar a conocer su existencia, su auténtico contexto y la totalidad de su valor informativo.

  The article presents the documentation that are in the Salamanca University Archives but that has not been produced by the University, indicating the reason why they have arrived there, concluding that in the majority of cases these are documents or archives that although they have another producer are intimately related to the university, since they have arrived there as a consequence of its activity or by the action of one of its members. The author insists on the need to individualize these documents differentiating those of the university archival fond, and to use the history of the archive as a tool to carry out this work well, especially the part referring to the production and accumulation of those non-university documents that are part of it, without which it will not be possible to know their existence, their authentic context and the totality of their informative value.
