En el comercio de esclavos que ejerció España en el siglo XIX destacaron los puertos de Cádiz a finales del XVIII y principios del XIX, Santander poco después y Barcelona, que comenzó a hacerlo hacia los años 20 de aquel siglo. In the slave trade carried out by Spain in the 19th century, several ports stood out: Cadiz at the end of the 18th and beginning of the 19th century, Santander shortly after, and Barcelona, starting around the 1820s.
