Las celebraciones festivas analizadas obedecen a tres motivos muy significativos y repetidos en la Edad Moderna. Las entradas reales, bajo palio, se realizaban en el momento de acceder al trono, con la demostración de fidelidad por parte de la ciudad y el juramento del monarca de observar sus privilegios o, en el caso de Aragón, su régimen foral o pactista. Los festejos por las bodas reales tuvieron un punto álgido en 1585 con la boda de la hija de Felipe II en Zaragoza. Finalmente, las canonizaciones durante el Barroco fueron muy celebradas como corresponde a una sociedad clasista y providencialista.
The festive celebrations analyzed obey three very significant and repeated motifs in the Early Modern Age. The royal entries, under a canopy, were made at the time of acceding to the throne, with the demonstration of fidelity by the city and the monarch's oath to observe his privileges or, in the case of Aragon, his foral or pactista regime. The celebrations for royal weddings reached a high point in 1585 with the wedding of the daughter of Felipe II in Zaragoza. Finally, canonizations during the Baroque were very continuous, as befits a class and providentialist society.
