Resumen de Arabismos en el capítulo de la carne de la versión latina de Gerardo de Cremona del qānūn fī ṭ-ṭibb de ibn sīnā (Avicena)

Este artículo viene con la intención de analizar los arabismos presentes en la traducción de Gerardo de Cremona (s. XII) del Canon de la Medicina de Avicena, acotando el estudio al capítulo dedicado a la carne. Tras una concisa exposición del Canon y de la metodología usada, procedemos a intentar dilucidar brevemente el motivo de la presencia de arabismos. El análisis de los arabismos ―un total de 12 términos― se basa en la selección de las voces en su contexto y su identificación. Finalmente, adjuntamos una traducción al español del fragmento y los textos latino y árabe

his article comes with the aim of analyzing the Arabic loanwords present in the translation of Avicenna’s Canon of Medicine by Gerard of Cremona (12th century), narrowing it down to the chapter dedicated to the meat. After a concise exposition about the Canon and the methodology followed, we try to briefly elucidate the reason behind the presence of Arabic loanwords. The analysis of the Arabic loanwords ―a total of 12 terms― is based on the selection of the voices in their context and their identification. Finally, we include our own translation of the fragment and the transcriptions of both the Latin and Arabic texts
