    El estudio de los sistemas de señalización marítima ha adquirido en los últimos años un notorio protagonismo en cuanto al análisis de los puertos se refiere. Las nuevas investigaciones realizadas sobre estas infraestructuras, tanto desde una visión de conjunto como de detalle - caso del faro de Brigantium o Turris Caepionis u Onoba -, representan un aporte significativo en el mundo del conocimiento portuario antiguo en general. Todo esto, se ve complementado desde una perspectiva de análisis más amplia, con los nuevos avances en los Sistemas de Información Geográfica (SIG), los cuales se han posicionado en un lugar privilegiado desde el que poder profundizar en el conocimiento de la articulación y el control marítimo, gracias a la incorporación de nuevas herramientas que permiten el cálculo, no sólo de sus cuencas de visibilidad, sino de su reciprocidad entre diferentes hitos costeros, facilitando para ello, el cruce de datos entre unos y otros desde una misma herramienta y sobre un mismo sistema planimétrico georreferenciado.

    In recent years, the study of maritime signaling systems has acquired a notable role in the analysis Of ports. The new research carried out on these infrastructures, such as the case of the Brigantium or Turris Caepionis lighthouse, as well as the reinterpretation of others such as the case of the Onoba lighthouse, represent a significant contribution to the world of ancient port knowledge in general. All this is complemented from a broader perspective of analysis, with new advances in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), which have positioned themselves in a privileged place from which to deepen the knowledge ofthe articulation and maritime control, thanks to the incorporation ofnew tools that allow the calculation, not only of their visibility basins, but of their reciprocity between different Coastal landmarks, facilitating the crossing of data between them from the same tool and on the same georeferenced planimetric system.
